A laboratory course to accompany SPLP 4001. This course will investigate correct sound formation and pronunciation related to phonetics and phonemic transcription. Practical activities will focus on mastery of the abilities to 1) perceive the distinctions between speech sounds and 2) accurately write these differences using IPA transcription and diacritics. Prerequisite(s): SPLP 1013, SPLP 1052, SPLP 2002, SPLP 2040. Progressed student in SPLP or consent of instructor and co-requisite enrollment in SPLP 4001.
