A cross-national survey of crime and criminal justice. Emphasis will be on crime rates, forms of criminality, police, courts, and corrections.
Descriptive material on selected countries will be analyzed and compared. Although the major emphasis will be on the substantive content of assigned readings, some attention will be given to research methodology.
