Biographical Sketch

Before joining the College of Business and Social Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Veronika Humphries obtained a Master of Laws and a Doctor of Laws degree from universities in Europe and a Master of Laws degree from the LSU Law Center. Her professional experience includes working in banking, real estate, insurance, and the legal field in the United States and in Europe.

Research Interests

Scholarly publications and research include The Analysis of the Interrelatedness of the Mena Region, published in the Journal of Economics and Economics Education. An article on International Law as a Framework for Unified International Business Regulations has been published in the Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives. Co-authored published scholarly works include an article discussing the Analysis of the Predictability of Brexit, Empirical Investigation of Macroeconomic Outcomes of NAFTA and USMCA, and Empirical Investigation of Consumer Confidence: A Case Study of Italy and France. An Open Educational Resource (OER) textbook titled Strategies for Effective Business Communication has been co-authored as part of a US Department of Education and Louisiana Library Network (LOUIS) grant project. Overall research interests include international business, international law, and business communication.
