Biographical Sketch

Kim Theodos, JD, MS, RHIA is an Assistant Professor of Health Studies at the University of Louisiana Monroe.   She teaches classes related to Health Informatics, Healthcare Law, Healthcare Leadership and Healthcare Administration in both on campus and online learning environments.   She also serves as the Program Practicum Coordinator and advisor for undergraduate Health Studies students.  Previously, Kim taught as an Associate Professor of Health Informatics and Information Management at Louisiana Tech University. Kim's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Administration from Louisiana Tech University, a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from University of New Orleans and a Juris Doctorate from Taft Law School.  

Kim has volunteered in various capacities through the Louisiana Health Information Management Association, previously serving a term as President, Treasurer and Secretary.  She was recognized by LHIMA as Distinguished Member as well as Outstanding Volunteer.  She currently serves on the AHIMA Board of  Directors as Director and Secretary.
