Biographical Sketch
Dr. Rebecca Hamm is an Associate Professor in the Radiologic Technology program. She has worked here at ULM since 2015 and teaches Radiographic Procedures I and II, Procedures Labs I and II, Patient Care Labs, and an Ethics & Law course. Dr. Hamm previously worked at Baton Rouge General's Hospital based program as well as Saint Francis Medical Center as a Radiologic and Computed Tomography Technologist. She received a Bachelor's of Science in Radiologic Technology from ULM, a Master's of Education in Instructional Technology from ULM, and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education Administration. Her dissertation was entitled "Development of Rubric to Measure Radiography Program Assessment Plan Quality." Dr. Hamm has received honors such as the Rising Young Alumni Award from the ULM Alumni Association, Outstanding Faculty Award from ULM's School of Allied Health, Joe Schwartz Memorial Scholarship from the LSRT, attendance at the Student Leadership Development Program and the Leadership Academy from ASRT, and faculty membership from Lambda Nu, the National Honor Society in Radiologic Sciences. Dr. Hamm founded the Rho Alpha Delta Chapter of Lambda Nu here at ULM in 2017, and she also serves as faculty advisor for Rho Alpha Delta. In addition to her work responsibilities here at ULM and other professional work, Dr. Hamm is a wife and mother of four daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, refinishing furniture, painting, fishing, and spending time with her family.
