Education

Biographical Sketch

First and foremost, I am a wife to my best friend and mother of three wonderful boys. I am a lifelong resident of Northeast Louisiana and supporter of our community and university. I received my Master of Occupational Therapy from ULM in December 2020, Bachelor of General Studies in May 2012, Associate of Occupational Therapy in December 2008, and am currently working on my Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from ULM.

I worked as an occupational therapy practitioner at St. Francis Medical Center in acute therapy from December 2008- December 2021. During my time at St. Francis, I served as a fieldwork educator to many students over the years and enjoyed teaching students in a clinical setting. In January, 2022, I decided it was time to leave the clinical setting and start teaching full time; therefore, I accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy.

I love teaching and passing on knowledge, mentoring, and watching the process of student to entry level practitioner. I believe the best way to live is by serving and loving others, and occupational therapy helps me fulfill that.
