Biographical Sketch

Dr. Willie Hey has over 30 years of higher education experience and has taught many undergraduate and graduate courses in health, sport, and physical education. Willie is a former high school and college basketball player and received degrees from Northeast Louisiana University (BS-1983), Northwestern State University (MEd-1987), and Southern Illinois University (PhD-1991). Dr. Hey has extensive experience in curriculum and program development, leadership, scholarship and has taught over 30 different courses related to health, sport, physical education, and exercise science during his career.
