Biographical Sketch
Victoria Hamby received a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University in 2009 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2012. She has practiced as a licensed physical therapist in Louisiana for over 11 years in acute care, home health, and outpatient settings. Dr. Hamby is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She is also a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Hamby currently serves on the Research Committee for APTA Louisiana. She is also currently serving on the APTA Geriatrics Exploratory Task Force for Annual Mobility Screen. Dr. Hamby is certified in functional dry needling, blood flow restriction training, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and is a certified Kinesiotape practitioner.
For the ULM DPT Program, Dr. Hamby is the Community and Curriculum Integration Coordinator and teaches content covering integrated clinical experiences, clinical skills development, practice management, and lifespan management for the geriatric patient population.

Dr. Hamby's research interests include clinical education in physical therapy, students attitudes toward service, and geriatric physical therapy with a special interest in preventative care.
