Biographical Sketch

As the Director of Drug Information Services, my duties include the management, operation and promotion of the Drug Information Center (DIC), as well as the procurement, support and promotion of the School’s library resources. The DIC provides information services exclusively to the healthcare professionals of the State of Louisiana. Additionally, the DIC’s service is promoted directly to Medicaid providers through the support of the Louisiana Medicaid Pharmacy Benefits Management Program. The Center provides a periodic newsletter, For Your Drug Information (FYDI) as a courtesy service to our students, faculty, pharmacy preceptors and Medicaid providers.

I have participated in many School of Pharmacy health fairs, glucose and cholesterol screenings, and brown bag projects throughout our community. I have been actively involved in many committees, task forces, and mentoring programs at the University and School level. Through this service, I have personally benefited by building relationships with some wonderful students and faculty within our School and from other disciplines. At the School level, I am currently serving as the Chair of the Curriculum Committee and as a member of the Assessment Committee. At the University level, I have served 4 years as Chair of the ULM Institutional Review Board and I am currently a member of the ULM Library Committee and the University Curriculum Committee. As a Faculty Advisor of the Beta Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Chi, I continue to be humbled and honored to be a part of this group of young professionals who strive to be the best pharmacy candidates, leaders, and servants.
