Biographical Sketch

Mr. King is a tenured Associate Professor of Aviation/UAS Management, and Program Coordinator of Aviation/UAS Management for ULM's College of Business and Social Sciences, within the school of Management & Aviation. He has been teaching at ULM for 14 years. Previously Mr. King was a tenured Department Head - Associate Professor of Aviation, Budget Unit Head, FAA Pt. 141 Chief Flight and Ground Instructor, Homeland Security (TSA) Alien Flight School Provider (AFSP) - School Administrator, Veterans Affairs (VA) - Airplane Pilot School - Administrator at Northwestern State University for 15.5 years. Prior to that he was an assistant chief flight instructor at Louisiana Tech University for 5 years. He currently has 29 years of service in Higher Education, with 34 years of continual service in Higher Education within the State of Louisiana. Mr. King possess a Master of Art degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aviation from Louisiana Tech University where he achieved all of his FAA pilot certificates and ratings. Mr. King started as a an FAA Private Pilot 47 years ago, and has been an FAA certificated Gold Seal Flight Instructor - Instrument Airplane for 43 years, and an FAA Commercial Pilot - Airplane Single and Multi-Engine Land, Instrument Airplane for 43 years, and hold's an FAA Remote Pilot - small unmanned aircraft systems certificate.

Research Interests

His current research interests include aiding the Director of Flight Operations at ULM's Precision Agriculture and Unmanned Aircraft Systems s(UAS) Research Application Center in field operations and data acquisition, and pre and post flight operational duties.
