Biographical Sketch

As Director of Experiential Education, my primary focus is to plan and direct the College of Pharmacy’s experiential training program. My administrative responsibilities account for 75% of my job. I am responsible for managing the Office of Experiential Education and overseeing the day-to-day activities of over 30% of the curriculum. I oversee over 300 adjunct and full-time faculty preceptors who provide experiential training opportunities for our Pharm.D. students. Recruitment and retention of these valuable faculty preceptors is crucial because without them we would not have the successful pharmacy program we have today.

In addition to the responsibilities of the Office of Experiential Education, I also supervise the Coordinator of Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences, the Pharmacy Care Lab team, and support staff in the accomplishment of these duties.  I work in a collaborative manner with school faculty as well as area preceptors and health care organizations to achieve the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
