Research Interests
Dr. Bonner worked on the IPAT, Inc., research project that updated the Inwald Personality Inventory (IPI). This questionnaire was created in the 1970s to be used for the evaluation and selection of law enforcement personnel. This research project involved collecting over 10 years of data including the original testing data with the IPI, the selection evaluation, Police Academy data, FTO reports, and general personnel information. This information was utilized in the updating and renorming of the IPI to the IPI-2.
Soon, Dr. Bonner will begin working with IPAT, Inc., on a similar project involving firefighter selection testing and norming and with further predictive item identification with law enforcement candidates.
Dr. Bonner is also working with program evaluation of the Northeast Delta Crisis Intervention Team Training Program.
