Biographical Sketch

Jameshia Andrea Below, PharmD is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science degree at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy. She went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Slidell Memorial Hospital and a PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Memorial Regional Hospital/ Memorial Cancer Institute. As a faculty member, she practices at the Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport – Monroe Medical Center as a Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist where she collaborates with hematology/oncology physicians and nurses to develop supportive care plans for cancer patients and counsel patients on chemotherapy regimens, supportive care medications, and others. The clinics that she are involved in include breast cancer, malignant hematology and gastrointestinal. Jameshia is currently a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Hematology Oncology Pharmacist Association, Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Minority Women Pharmacists Association and the National Pharmaceutical Association. She also serves on the Faculty Development Committee and Pharmacy Practice Experience Committee and as Advisor to the National Compounding Oncology Dispensing Association and Co-Advisor to the Student National Pharmaceutical Association at the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy.
