The University of Louisiana at Monroe Lacrosse Club will give ULM students the opportunity to engage in competitive lacrosse against other teams from the area.


The purpose of this organization shall be to provide a competitive lacrosse team to represent the University of Louisiana at Monroe. This team will be affiliated with the Gulf Coast Lacrosse Association. It will also serve to provide an enjoyable sports club for the university and surrounding community.

Membership Requirements: 

A. Qualifications of Team Members and Club Members
a. The Captain and Co-Captain will select Team Members while allowing other active team members to help in the process. Team Members shall be selected based upon their athletic abilities demonstrated at an organized tryout. Team Members participate in ULM Lacrosse Club competitions as well as campus activities, fundraising, organization, and other events.
i. Team Members must be students 18 years or older in order to play in Gulf Coast Lacrosse Association competitions
ii. Team Members are responsible for becoming members of US Lacrosse (fee in dues), payment of club AND team member dues, attendance of at least 50% of all scheduled games and 50% community service events.
b. Club Members are ANY student willing to join the lacrosse club and pay a set fee. Club members participate in ULM Lacrosse Club campus activities, fundraising, organization, and other events.
i. Club members are required to attend at least one game and one community service event per semester. All members, including non-competing members, are strongly encouraged to attend all home games hosted by the team.
c. The responsibilities of ALL Members include payment of club dues, appropriate representation of the school and team, maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or above and adequate attendance to club meetings. The organization and its members agree to uphold and abide by the rules and regulations at ULM.
d. Non-Discrimination Policy – The University of Louisiana at Monroe recognizes that members of the University Community (students, faculty, and staff) represent different groups according to age, culture, ethnicity, gender, physical or mental ability, nationality, race, religion, and sexual orientation. The University further recognizes that, in a pluralistic society such as ours, these differences must be recognized and respected by all who intend to be a part of the University Community. Faculty, staff, and students should be aware that any form of harassment and any form of discrimination against any group or individual is inconsistent with the policies of the University.
B. Assessments and Dues
a. Club Members will be required to pay $50 per year
b. Team Members will be required to pay the following in addition to club fees:
i. First time annual members: $50
ii. Additional annual members from there on: $30
c. Membership may be recommended for suspension or termination for the following:
i. Team Members
1. Abilities demonstrated at tryouts or during games
2. Lack of paying club and team dues by assigned due dates
3. Not maintaining a 2.0 GPA or higher
4. Breaking any team bylaws

d. Any problem that arises within the team among members should be handled by the filing of a complaint to the officers. The officers will meet to discuss the problem and to decide whether the problem should be brought before the club. If the problem is brought before the club, the persona involved may be removed by a majority club vote with a quorum.
